Under the theme “Key Issues and Lessons from the 2024 South Africa General Elections and Compliance with the SADC Model Law on Elections,” the SADC PF, in collaboration with two institutes of the University of Johannesburg, the Institute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation and the Institute for Global African Affairs, the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs, University of South Africa (UNISA), and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), will host a regional webinar series on democratic governance in the SADC region on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Since its establishment in 1999 and its commencement of election observation in SADC Member States, the SADC Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) has been at the forefront of advocating for democratic elections throughout the region.
