The Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF) will participate in the Africa Mindset Reset Forum in Rwanda, taking place in Kigali from 25–26 August 2026. The SAYoF delegation will be led by Ms. Diana Paul Chando, Head of the Governance, Peace and Security Cluster, deputised by H.E. Efrata Mathewos, SAYoF Ambassador to the African Union (AU) and Ethiopia. In addition, part of the delegation is Hon. Ian Takudzwa Vambe, Head of Media, Advocacy and Communication, among other youth leaders and partners. SAYoF will contribute to the Forum’s intergenerational conversations on African agency, multilateralism, and execution, aligned with the theme “From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism.”

The Forum will feature leading voices including H.E. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda and Co-Founder of ASG; H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana; and H.E. Hailemariam Dessalegn Boshe, Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia. It will also include Dr. Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank, and Thabo Mbeki, Former President of South Africa, alongside a strong line-up of young people speakers from across the continent, including Ms. Diana Paul Chando of the Southern Africa Youth Forum (SAYoF).

In addition, SAYoF will convene a Watch Party in Zimbabwe in partnership with House of Arts and Africa School of Governance (ASG), creating space for young people to engage with selected Kigali sessions and discuss how the ideas emerging from the Forum can be translated into local action.
