SAYoF Country Director for Mauritius, and the Youth Director of Halley Movement,   Ms. Leena Boodhoo, attended the SADC Regional Workshop in Johannesburg, South Africa, to review and validate key regional water sector strategies.

The workshop runs from 4 to 6 May 2026 and focuses on strategies and frameworks to strengthen water security, climate resilience, and sustainable development across the region. This conference comes at a time when SAYoF is preparing for its 8th Youth Forum with a focus on water, food systems, agriculture, climate change, and nutrition.

The event was officially opened by Ms. Lindiwe Lusenga, Deputy Director General of Provincial and Entity Governance and International Cooperation, South Africa.
